HBD?! Tied With Fear Boners Part Deux For League-High 23 Wins
STAMFORD, Conn. — Dec. 23, 2014 — Forbes Magazine and Sports Business Journal have named HOW BOUT DAT?! the most valuable franchise in the Bobcats4Ever league, following an analysis of the league’s operations through two seasons.
HBD?! General Manager Jamie Palatini led his squad to two podium finishes in as many seasons, including the B4E title in 2013. This year, Palatini wheeled and dealed his way to a third-place finish, as HBD?! won eight of its final 10 regular-season games, and 10 of 12 overall, including a resounding 133.53-108.91 drubbing of Calle Ochocinco in the consolation game, in which eight of his nine starts scored at least 10 points.
In addition to his league-high $192 of revenue over two seasons, “Palatini demonstrated a forward-thinking mindset through social marketing initiatives, such as the #GetThatShit campaign, and the first press release in league history,” according to Forbes and Sports Business Journal.
“We’re truly honored to be recognized for our performance off the field,” Palatini said. “The people inside the walls of this organization know the day-in and day-out grind, and it’s clearly paying off in spades. We will continue to lead this league into the future, along with great general managers like Marc Schwartz and Commissioner Kyle Brennan.”

He took nothing and built it into a third-place team this year. That’s impressive, no matter which way you slice it. We’ll see just how good the HBD?! management is next year when it only has two draft picks inside the top 80, but somehow or another the team will probably end up in the mix again in 2015.”
Players selected after the 80th pick this year included Jason Witten, Jeremy Hill, Fred Jackson, Tony Romo, Kelvin Benjamin, Lamar Miller, Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins, Ben Roethlisberger, DeAndre Hopkins, Martellus Bennett, Mark Ingram, Kenny Stills, Steve Smith Sr., and Harry Douglas.
